*This assignment is an expatriate assignment and the incumbent will need to live in Vietnam for at least 2 years.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Cultivate local South East Asia (SEA) Relationships with participants in the Global Value Chain, with a focus on KC and Furniture Segments

  • Primarily contact for SEA-US relationships with key customers
  • Cultivate Brand Owner & Broker relationships in SEA
  • Coordinate the activities during the HighPoint market
  • Participate in & influence industry organizations

SEA Growth Plan & Execution

  • Build & execute Segment Growth Plans.  These should include supporting the Sales team in building a strong opportunity pipeline, and ensuring that we are progressing them effectively towards winning the business.   This should also include an analysis of wins and losses, pricing and gross margins, followed by recommended actions to accelerate growth and profitability.
  • Define Multi-Generational Product Plans from: “voice of customer” work, competitive analysis; and  segment analysis of emerging trends to support R&D pipeline.
  • Provide assistance in all aspects of new business opportunities, including the management of the agencies or brokers.
  • Collaborate with local commercial team on value proposition development.

SEA Strategy

  • Build SEA Strategic Plan to ensure we are positioned to win in future years out by determining how technology is changing, where the next low-cost manufacturing region will emerge and what disruption will non-paint finishes cause.
  • Prioritize where our R&D and Commercial Teams should focus
  • Complete competitive analysis
  • Build a plan to strengthen value proposition elements around Product, Service and Color & Design.


Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, STEM fields or other business concentration

Preferred:

  • MBA

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Required:
    • Willingness to live in SEA for 2-4 years and then relocate to North America – Cleveland OH.
    • 5 years of experience in a sales or marketing role with B2B experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Preferred
    • Previous experience working in Kitchen Cabinet and/or Furniture segment preferred
    • 10 years of experience in sales or marketing role with B2B experience
    • 10 years business or industry experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

               Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.

  Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.

  Must be able to climb and descend stairs.

  Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.

  Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.

  May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.

  May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.

  May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.

  May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.

  Work surfaces may include concrete.

  Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and be able to wear a respirator as required.

  Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.

  Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Must be able to work all scheduled hours
  • Overnight travel will be required at times
  • Computer Skills including Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to obtain a passport.
  • Candidates must also possess the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. 
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a performance rating of standard or better. 

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Project & Access

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    20%
